I dont know much about .inf files but what I would like to do is include 7z9.20-x64.msi with silent switches in inf file to sliptream into my vista sp2 dvd. I really dont know what goes in inf file to create the silent install i am looking for. I know I have to cab it up when done. If someone could give me an example with 7 zip i would be eternally greatful. Thanks for any help.

I am sorry to tell you this but you cannot add apps to vista this way.

I figured that out. lol I downloaded wpi but cant get it to install 7zip9.20........in the wpi window it says failed and closes.......no log file that I can find to troubleshoot the issue. I know in the instructions he says to copy core files to new user folder but mine already has them in there and i have never used this program before so I dont have the old files to copy to the user folder......dont know if that is the issue or not. If anyone knows how to get wpi working correctly please give me detailed info on how to do that. Thanks for your help in adv.
