I'm looking for a method to update a Windows XP CD to all updates post SP3. Using nlite - integrated SP3 - and am now looking for a method of snagging all the required updates - easily - to have nlite integrate them. HFslip appears to be DEAD and have come across Windows Update Downloader.
Downloaded WUD250B1002Setup.exe from here: http://www.windowsup...ogramFiles.aspx
Partway through the install it seemed to hang (Windows 7 SP1 32 bit on an SSD) - should have taken mere seconds - and then the system completely CRASHED to BIOS. Took 4 tries to get Windows to boot as it rebooted at the Starting Windows or hung there. There is no indication as to which OS's this program will run on. Dare I try again??? or is there a more reliable method I haven't found yet?

Thanks, Ross

WUD seems out of date - last entry for Windows XP Service Pack 3 x86 is 2010-03-11 ...... that's almost 2 years now

looking at RyanVM's Windows XP Post-SP3 Update Pack - Version 1.0.3 - Released January 18, 2009 .... that's 3 years ago now.

WOW XP is considered dun and gone eh.

Here is a update list that will let you download Windows XP Service Pack 3 with updates/drivers up to: December 13th, 2011!
It's winxp-sp3-x86-enu.ulz , which I presume is to be used with Windows Update Downloader
.... do I have the nerve to try and install WUD? <shutter>

It is impossible that installing WUD would have crashed Windows. It is most likely that you have a hardware or driver issue with your computer. I hope you are able to resolve your issue.
