If you customized winRAR and saved a "Settings.reg" file, you could add the last string shown. If you need to download mine, do it!

To create a settings.reg, go to: Options-->Import/Export-->Export settings to file.

If you haven't got a rarreg.key yet, nor you need a Settings.reg; delete this part from the batch:

for some reason.. i have tried this in the past.. and all works well except tryn' to copy the files over....

i have 2 files i have tried to copy to the winrar folder from the installation folder... rarreg... and winrar.exe... for some reason.. files do not copy.. and i used the same copy string as you did.. and all folders were correct.... i dunno what the problem with it was... i have also noticed that if i tried to get the rarreg.reg file copied over threw $oem$/$progs\winrar\rarreg.exe on my cd.. for some reason... it wouldn't copy over threw that method either...

had any problems like this?

Anything placed in the $OEM$\$1 is automatically copied from the cd to the hard drive. Place your rarreg.key file in the folder with the Winrar installation program. This will get the file copied for you. Mazin's method works for me.

Mazin.. Thanks for the tip on the customized settings. Didn't know to do that...

Read-only files make problems. So, make sure you eliminate this property.

Anyway, it's a good idea to add /y at the end of the Copy string.

The advice of tcsdoc is correct.

I´ve made a winrar.cmd file with the lines above in it and in my RunOnceEx.cmd i use it this way:

REG ADD %KEY%\030 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\WinRAR\wrar330.exe /s" /f
REG ADD %KEY%\030 /V 2 /D "%systemdrive%\install\Applications\WinRAR\rar.cmd" /f

Hope this works for you. And i think it is a good idea to remove any attribute from the files you like to copy before building your ISO-Image.

Hello,

I have try all of them, but none works realy. The install of WinRar is not my problem. The problem is, the rarrreg.key and the settings.reg which I downloaded from above.

I if I only copy them into the folder of WinRar, WinRar starts unregistered.

Is my rarreg.key not the right one? Or what I´m doing wrong?

I haven't uploaded my "rarreg.key" here, yet.

However, if you renamed the key from "rarreg.key" to "rarrreg.key", WinRAR won't see it.

Also, if your rarreg.key is not in the right structure, WinRAR is blind.

And, if you changed your mind and decided to modify some data inside rarreg.key like your name, for example, WinRAR won't know yee.

for the corporate version, that has been posted on *removed* recently should i use the following code to install it?:

has anyone tried this ? you dont need a .reg file to import, its the CORPORATE version.

just realised its in the installation folder, installed this winrar 3.30 corp silently with settings.reg, worked PERFECTLY.

Options-->Import/Export-->Export settings to file

Or, since WinRar doesent create a reg key on install, and you dont have to wory about overwriting it, you could do the create the following directory in your $OEM$ folder:

\$OEM$\$Progs\Winrar\

and put the rarreg.key file in that.

then windows AUTOMATICALLY copys the file to the location during setup

no problem, I stumbled across that somewhere on a Microsoft TechNet type help page on unattended installing. I cant remember exactly what the other directories similar to $progs were, but if you have the right variable you can dump to any of the core windows directorys using that method.

The only two i remember are $progs and $docs. for "Program Files" and "My Doccuments".

please can you help me

for winrar 3.3

i have the Keygen for this software and i need it to install silent with it

but this one need to be run in the directory of the winrar becouse it is looking for winrar.exe file to pacth it and make it regestared ...

so what is the right switch to make it (copy &run from the directory of winrar +silent mode )
