When i first tried using XPlode i noticed it takes a lot more time than XPInstall... so i decided to test them with the same xml (with the correct sintaxis for both). Here are my results (taken from the logs):
XPlode: 2h 33 mins
XPInstall: 26 mins
As you can see the difference us huge! Have any of you experienced something like this? I think it is not normal the time for XPlode.
P.S. Im running on a P3@750 394MB SDRAM

that looks like what i get from vpc compared to vmware

that is indeed strange....
I haven't noticed any difference except for VMWare vs Real PC.

wow thats interesting.
my installs with xpcreate on vpc takes like 100 years to complete whereas in vmware it completes in less than 25 min... same as normal pc. (i can't recall the time it took when i gave full cpu to vpc)

my install on a my machien during a reinstall takes in the are of 25-30 minutes. And thats also installing all of my programs (2.4 gig DVD)

I tested with an Athlon 1100MHz, 1GB RAM:
XPinstall: 21:04 mins
XPlode: 21:42 mins
Go figure...
