Opera 7.23 has a file in its install folder called "OUsr600.dat" that contains the registration info. There is nothing in the registry for this. Now my question is if I use RunOnceEx.cmd to install Opera silently is there anything i can put in to have it coppied over to the installation directory after Opera installs so the first time I run it will be registered?

xibmer,I asked u to download the one without java.
then u can install java alone unattended,or even repackage it.
this works 100% :) GODWELLING.but installing both in one step , I think doesnot deserve any more effort or time
hope this will help

medhunter, i c. i'm just too lazy to check it out by myself. i thought the without java version of opera installation file does not contain the opera.jar file. but i'm wrong, it does.

Is there also a way to keep your previous mail/visual settings? I mean like which toolbars u used and such. And so that you do not need to reclick when performing the first mouse gesture/middle click. Also to make opera the default browser/or mail client in advance. Thx :)

Is it just copying the profile folder and overwriting it at the next install (using a .cmd or whatever) or is there more to it? Or perhaps another way.

Opera as default:

opera.reg said:

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

; Opera comme navigateur par défaut
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Clients\StartMenuInternet]
@="Opera.exe"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\Opera.exe]
@="Opera"
"LocalizedString"="Opera"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\Opera.exe\DefaultIcon]
@="D:\\Opera75\\Opera.exe,0"
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\Opera.exe\shell]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\Opera.exe\shell\open]
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Clients\StartMenuInternet\Opera.exe\shell\open\command]
@="D:\\Opera75\\Opera.exe"

change the path accordingly.
