I'm trying to burn a bootable CD with WinXP Home Edition with SP3 slipstreamed using the latest version of nLite but after I click the "Burn" button and wait for 5mins+ I keep getting the notification 'Write failed! Hardware Error "256"'.

I must point out that I'm using a virtualisation software called "VirtualBox" that allows me to run Windows XP (and any other O.S.) on my mac (OS X 10.7 Lion). I'm quite sure I have the correct settings for VirtualBox so I don't think I have a problem on that end.

Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance. :)

Yep. Instead of burning, make an ISO, export (copy) it to your physical machine through Shared Folders and burn it on your PC.
