martinlink
So I got this mouse used from a forum, installed it and since then, every time I restart my PC, I have to set the mouse scroll to 3 lines manually. I've tried somekind of a fix in regedit which had the same effect as setting it from "mouse options" -> only worked until next restart...So, does anyone have any clue about why this is happening? Any fixes?
Tripredacus
What is your OS? What kind of mouse option are in the control panel?
martinlink
My OS, as my profile states, is Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit). all the settings are stock, including the ones in the software provided by Razer. Only tried changing the "Roll the wheel one notch to scroll: the following number of lines at once: 30" to 3 and the settings stay like that until the next restart, when it reverts back to 30.Tried reinstalling the mouse into another USB slot, reinstalled all drivers to no avail. Tripredacus
My OS, as my profile states, is Windows 7 Ultimate (64bit).You'll have to forgive because a lot of users here post about many different operating systems than just the one in the profile. It would be interesting to know where that setting is being kept. Is it in an INI or in the registry? And what exactly is causing it to revert on a restart. It would make sense if it was using a temp file for that setting. You might be able to find where it is kept by using Process Monitor.Hmmm wow I was just looking this up and it seems there are a lot of problems with Razer mice. martinlink
I think it is kept in the registry as I once dug into it and found the place where the setting was set to 30, and by manually changing it, got it to work normally until the next restart...I have a Diamondback 3G as well, and have had no problems for almost 4 years now.
