Unable to hit web server in DMZ from inside organization

Hi guys,

I have set up a webserver in my DMZ, set up the routing on the firewall, and set up DNS records.

I think it SHOULD work correctly but I can not hit the website via the name in a browser.

The strange thing is that a ping to the name resolves the correct IP address and I can hit the website via the IP address in a browser.

I am stuck. Any help would rock.

I got into the webserver, but once I got on it I remembered something kinda important.

It doesn't use IIS, we use XAMPP so it is an Apache server. I don't know anything about apache.

Since I thought this was a routing issue, but it turns out its a webserver config issue should I have the thread moved?

I'm not sure this would be an Apache issue, but it could be. Here is a summary that I can tell.

- Domain name to IP resolves via nslookup

- Website is visible using IP in browser

- Website is not visible using domain name in browser.

But here we have questions!

1. Can you view website from webserver using domain name?

2. Can you view website from a client inside the DMZ using domain name?

3. What is the error you are getting when trying to access via domain name from outside the DMZ?

4. Might be silly, but did you try another computer?

5. What is running DNS, Windows Server?
