I've been on a retro kick for awhile and I've been trying to make windows 7 as much like 98 as possible, so if you have any tips or programs that would help complete the experience, please share them.

Hello,
Microsoft has some information here. I can't really go into detail at the moment...

Alternatively, you can download the attached Windows 98 Theme File that I created... It is a modified "Windows Classic" theme.
The only issue that I have noticed with the theme is that, in Internet Explorer 9, inactive tabs are not the appropriate color.

You could also download Classic Shell for the classic version of the Start Menu.

I don't think IE9 displays properly with Aero disabled, so its not just your theme.

I suppose I should have explained myself further, I'm using the windows classic theme, and classic shell, I was mainly looking for a few extra tweaks, and some applications that have a retro feel (eg. media player classic)
