The drivers are packed as Installshield installation...
I can do Silent install but I wish to uncompress they and use they in the winnt.sif
Anyone know the arguments to extract they?

I can do silent install, but I want a cd for use in a SIS system(ECS K7S5A) and nforce system, so I don't want to install sis drivers always, but make windows auto detect

SIS driver for AGP 1.17 http://driver2.sis.com/agp/agp117.exe

strange, I choose sis735 chipset on SiS and i downloaded a zip, which has the INF, sys, all you need for your $OEM$ directory

does XP install its default sis chipset driver then ? If it does install the stock XP driver, there is no way XP will choose a third party driver anyway. I have tested this on a 645DX and a SiS651 (both intel chipsets thou)µ

your link, not working

Just cut & paste the link...
But, don't work anymore...

I really saw they in the folders but I download a 5.3mb set of drivers to use only 40kb???(INF + CAT + SYS)
What is inside the CAB files?

the cab files are just overhead for a multilanguage/multi-OS installshield installation. you'll see sys.cab and user.cab in every installshield install...

the rest of that 5mb is win98, 2K, XP driver, some utilities, some patches... For the driver you only need this

sisagp.inf = driver installation file
sisagp.sys = service binary
sisagp.cat = driver catalog

You only need the first two, the third makes the driver signed, that's up to you. No other files are needed for the driver. I'm not saying you don't need the patches or utilities (on my 645DX, 651 chipsets I never needed them)

And if XP installs its own driver for it (it has a sis-agp driver, but maybe not for that specific chipset) it won't use them anyway. Sis AGP driver by windows XP has a higher version number, even though the driver is older. This is because the sisagp driver is installed through machine.inf, which has 5.1.2600 as version number....

EDIT: same is true for the ide driver by the way...
