Can I create my own VLK setup DVD for Vista Business x86 SP1 (Dell), without losing the pre-activation??
The official (!) Dell VLK DVD will automatically give an activated OS after installation (when on Dell hardware; otherwise, it won't install).
I wish to have the same, but with a Vista SP2 DVD.
Should http://www.vistax64....-vista-sp2.html (Sliptream Vista SP2) keep the automatic activation?
Some of my clients do NOT have a COA for Vista, only XP. I AM ALLOWED to install Vista for these clients but I WILL NEED A PRE-ACTIVATED SP2 installation DVD - which Dell does not offer
Why I really really really need the SP2 version? I need to do a repair upgrade to 'fix' activation for my master system (which I clone and roll out to all new clients). Re-creating this master is impossible, I REALLY need the pre-activation!
Sigh. Google'ing: slipstream vista sp2 (royalty OR VLK) dvd -"windows xp" did not offer many tips.
The mentioned manual (http://www.vistax64....-vista-sp2.html) shows people having problems with activation / serial requests.
DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT I SHOULD DO? Can I solve all my problems with nLite?
I also asked for help, here: http://en.community....t/19441885.aspx (Corporate Dell Vista SP1 x86 DVD: Slipstream SP2 without prompting activation or serial dialogue? - Microsoft OS Forum - Software & Operating Systems - Dell Community), but that did not turn up anything I could immediately use... :s
Pretty please? ; ) Thank you and...
