Hello, all.

My laptop can process all Windows XP updates just fine, except for one: KB976098. I am constantly prompted to download and install this update, even after I tell Windows not to install it, and to hide it from view in the future. The prompts for this update refuse to go away, which has become irritating. Can anyone suggest a way for me to get rid of it for good?

Thanks in advance.

That's and old update. Try installing KB2633952 and see if it goes away. http://www.microsoft...c7-4fcbfebf85d3

If the solution given by -X- doesn't solve this trouble, you can browse to:

"C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution\Download"

And remove all files inside this folder.

Regards

Thanks! I solved the problem by deleting the files you mentioned.
