  • Motherboard: Asus A7N8X-X
  • Chipset: nVidia nForce2 Series Rev 44.07
  • Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP Home SP1
I'd like my custom/unattended Windows CD to install drivers for this motherboard. MSFN's guide says, "Name your folders starting with numbers, this ensures that drivers get installed in numerical order."

I'm not sure what order it should be installing each driver. Here's the Readme file for my drivers:

This nForce WinXP driver package contains the below components:

Audio driver 3.14 (WHQL'd)
Audio utilities 3.07
Network driver 2.81 (WHQL'd)
GART driver 2.78 (WHQL'd)
SMBus driver 2.75 (WHQL'd)
Memory controller driver 2.75 (WHQL'd)
IDE driver 2.70 In The Box (WHQL'd)
IDE driver 3.07 Full Driver
Installer 3.11

Which order should they be installed in?

Here's the folder containing the drivers:

First of all.. what the hell is with the netscape sig?

And your question.... It doesn't matter too much. I would go in this order...

1) SMBus
2) GART
3) Mem Controller
4) IDE Driver (you only need one... NVIDIA's or the ITB
5) Network
6) Audio Drivers
7) Audio Utils..

Dont need the installer...

Cheers
