I am trying to use Windows 7 Backup and restore in W7 Home Premium on 64 bit desktop. I have tried 3 times after a quick format of my Seagate FreeAgent 500 exterior disk.
Each time I get a vertical red line and the message "Check your backup. The last backup did not complete successfully". I am at a complete loss of what to do next.
The Backup and Restore page shows the amount of free space on my 'New Volume F' and the size of the backup it has done.
If someone is kind enough to offer a solution to my problem, could you please put it in the form of a click by click process.
Hopefully
Stamyrn.

I've only used that page to run recovery, but is there any Warnings or Errors in Event Viewer that might give some more detailed information?
