I am setting up a small network for a small company at the moment they have one computer with an internet connection. the isp provided them with a static ip address. in the xomming weeks i will be getting the laptops and a wireless roughter in. my questiin is when i set up the wireless roughter do i set its address to the static ip Address provided by the isp?

Short answer - yes. The Router is just a "mini-server" so you set up the External (WAN) items exactly as you would when connected directly to a PC. The remainder of the Router (LAN) setup is up to you.
