Ok I've read the threads available here and what I come up with is the following:

1. Extract the Catalyst package, copy the contents of the folder Driver\2KXP_INF to \$OEM$\Drivers\ATI

2. In WINNT.SIF add OemPnPDriversPath="Drivers\ATI"

3. Later in RunOnceEx add

IF EXIST %systemroot%\system32\atioglxx.dll REG ADD %KEY%\005 /VE /D "ATi Control Panel" /f
IF EXIST %systemroot%\system32\atioglxx.dll REG ADD %KEY%\005 /V 1 /D "%systemdrive%\Install\ATICPanel\Setup.exe -s -f1"%systemdrive%\Install\ATICPanel\setup.iss" /f

I must add that I can not care less for Smart GART. Am I on the right track? Thanks.

Yes you're on the right track for someone who doesn't care about ATI's SmartGart feature

Thanks AaronXP. I use powerstrip to control agp speed, sideband addressing and PCI latency anyway. Smartgart has some problems detecting fastwrite ability in video cards and mobos. I've searched for a way to unisntall it before my unnatended days so now I'm double happy.

I need no stinkin smartgart!

I might also add that you only need -s for the setup.exe switch if setup.iss resides in the same folder as the executable. I'll be making this change in the guide soon just for simplicity reasons

The -s was alredy there. Just before the -f1... switch. Or I didn't understand you correctly?

Works either way, just cleaner.
