why my Left Ctrl key muting and unmuting sound on my xp x86 ?

As a matter of fact, my unattended cd could not install microsoft UAA Driver. Thats why i updated manually with "hdaudbus.sys" file. All done flawless . Now the plight i've is: How to fix ctrl key mute-unmute ?

You should try uninstalling the keyboard driver and/or replacing the keyboard.

this trouble begins when i open wmp . It remains after closing wmp as well but fixes after Restart .
I think wmp creating hot key Left (Cltr) to mute and unmute the volume, if really thus then how to disable that.

Are you using ffdshow ? You can configure hotkeys in it.
Or perhaps this will help.
