Drivers for new computers? Where to find?

I was just wondering where you go to find XP drivers for new hardware. For exampel, I have an ATI mobility graphic driver in my computer. However, when I go to ATI:s website, I can't find any XP drivers, only Vista and 7.
So, do you reommend any websites or tools for finding XP drivers on new hardware?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english!

Most times for Notebooks, all drivers are provided by the notebook manufacturer.

It's an emachines e642g with ati mobility 5650. There are no XP drivers on the manufacturer's website either.
I wonder if there is a website dedicated to mod drivers for XP for newer computers. It would be nice if someone could recommend a website. Would also be good in case I buy a new computer (in the future), so I can put XP on it.

Anyway, I haven't tested it myself but you should probably be able to just add your graphic card's hardware ID to the INF file of the "normal" XP drivers and install them. Could you check the hardware ID in the Device Manager?

Which HardwareID matches this graphic card?
Desktop Video Card Drivers 12.8 CX145314.inf matches ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5000 Series too.

How do you add your graphic card ID to the normal XP drivers? Is there a tutorial online?
My hardware ID is:
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68C1&SUBSYS_036E1025&REV_00

It is highly unlikely, but it's worth a shot.

The file 12-8_xp32_dd_ccc\$_OUTDIR\Packages\Drivers\Display\XP_INF\CX145314.inf contains
Quote
"%AMD68C1.1%" = ati2mtag_Manhattan, PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68C1&SUBSYS_5000174B
AMD68C1.2 = "AMD Radeon HD 6500M/5600/5700 Series"
PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68C1 is a generic match for a PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_68C1&SUBSYS_036E1025&REV_00.
There is no need to change the graphic card ID, use the default driver package.
The driver itself may work of fail.
Try default AMD Video Card Driver 12.8 and report the result.

Where can I find the drivers for HP Pavilion g6 - 2011 sq, for Windows XP ?
In particular the audio drivers:
Hardware IDs:
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2806&SUBSYS_80860101&REV_1000
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2806&SUBSYS_80860101
HP does not support Windows XP on this laptop. I didn't find anything on Intel download center.
Thank you,
Gabriel

First, this might be considered hijacking a Topic as your post is about a different hardware. You should have started your own topic.
Second, I searched Intel website for
hd audioand came up with this -
http://downloadcente...rivers&lang=eng
I really don't feel like downloading another item I don't need, so you download and look inside it at the INF files to see if any match you required Hardware String.

Intel® Desktop Board D915GOM
Intel® Desktop Board D915POM
EDIT!!! I downloaded the Audio for Win7 - it has TWO folders inside WDM - one is XP and one is Vista (how odd) AND inside the INF files, there's nothing for the Device you list. What makes you think that's it? Why don't you try that Driver?

System: Windows 7 x64, original.
In audio devices have IDT High Definition Audio CODEC to version 6.10.0.6426 driver from IDT (VEN_111D & DEV_76E0) and Audio Intel ® for displays with driver version 6.14.0.3097 from Intel (VEN_8086 & DEV_2806). Drivers taken from http://www.dell.com/support and http://www.intel.com.../support/detect (a basic version of the Intel graphics driver was higher).
If you're lucky, Sp0iLedBrAt may be able to help. I apparently can't find anything useful.

However, inside there is a folder called "ibxHDMI" which contains an INF file with these IDs
%IntcDAudDeviceDesc% = IntcDAudModel, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2805&SUBSYS_80860101, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2805 %IntcDAudDeviceDesc% = IntcDAudModel, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2806&SUBSYS_80860101, HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_8086&DEV_2806
which are the ones you need.
The package is easy to extract with 7-Zip, WinRAR or whatever you please.
Cheers and please, report back.
EDIT: the answer was the other posts in this topic: nowadays they tend to put a lot of drivers in one package (video, audio, chipset, SATA) and call it a suite; ATI does it, so why not Intel?

Hello,
Thanks for help. It seems that the problem is fixed partially. Sound, video and game controllers are OK, but I still have no sound.
There were 2 devices in fact, the second is Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus:
Hardware Ids:
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76D9&SUBSYS_103C183E&REV_1001
HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_111D&DEV_76D9&SUBSYS_103C183E
PS : a lot of devices are not recognised, but the sound is essential.
Thanks,
Gabriel

Intel Usb 3.0 drivers doesn't exist for XP so you'll only get usb 2.0 speed.
It seems you'll also need AMD HD graphics drivers.
As for the network interface, post its hardware id as there are many wifi adapters for this hp computer.

Hello,
Thank you.
I downloaded from the links indicated above.
"Intel Chipset Utility and Driver" fixed SM Bus Controller and Universal Seriab Bus (USB) Controller.
"Intel Management Engine Interface (MEI) Driver" didn't find any update (see capture).
For the Network Controller, the ID is:
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_1795103C&REV_01
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&SUBSYS_1795103C
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&CC_028000
PCI\VEN_14E4&DEV_4727&CC_0280
But, the Audio device is still not working, I cannot find the drivers.
Happy New Year !
Gabriel
