I want test my new version of XP with sata drivers , I use VMware. It' s possible with VMware testing sata drivers?

The only similar test you can do is to use a SCSI virtual disk in VMware, the default being IDE. Add the VMware SCSI driver to your Windows CDROM then test in VMware. Should hopefully be a reasonable test.

ok but i test my cd on my real computer and it works, but even if chooce SCSI in VMware it doesn't work.

You can not test drivers for hardware, that isnīt there. maybe a later version of VMWare will be able to handle S-ATA drives. But if it works with your original equipment it shouldnīt be a problem, or?

yes, vmware "emulates" an scsi or ide disk

Only the VMware SCSI driver will work, here is the code to add to TXTSETUP.SIF:
