back in alpha versions of vista, before OS went to desktop, on welcome screen it wrote Waiting for DIMS
same when user went to shut down OS, again before shut down on screen it wrote Waiting for DIMS
what are DIMS ?

Open regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services and look if you can find a service with the name DIMS.

Most times when we can't find something on google, its usually because we are using the wrong search terms. So a single search may not give you any answers. You need to look at what you do find and try different terms. It might seem like some magic trick!
