Install WPT (http://www.msfn.org/...e-tool-kit-wpt/) and run this command when you have the issue again.:

xperf -on latency+ALL_FAULTS -stackwalk profile+HardFault+PagefaultTransition+PagefaultDemandZero+Pagefau
ltCopyOnWrite+PagefaultGuard+PagefaultHard+PagefaultAV -buffersize 1024 -MaxFile 256 -FileMode Circular && timeout -1 && xperf -d Pagefaulttrace.etl

Capture 30s of data and compress the file Pagefaulttrace.etl as 7z and upload it (SkyDrive, dropbox) and post a link here.

the dsm_sa_eventmgr64.exe ("C:\Program Files\Dell\SysMgt\dataeng\bin\dsm_sa_eventmgr64.exe") causes the hard pagefaults (reading from disk)

Do you need this Dell tool?

now it is the IAStorIcon.exe. Do you use the Intel AHCI driver? if yes, update it. if this also doesn't help, uninstall the Intel driver and test the inbox MSFT AHCI driver.

Will off it in bios. and on ACHI then try test drivers.

You could also send him a PM, referencing this thread, in a day or so in case he missed your posts. (Send only one - do not bug any member unnecessarily or you risk being banned, besides, it's just not polite. :) )

Cheers and Regards

Where did you look? If you click the "members" link at the top of this page, and enter cluberti in the members search box, his is the only name that come up. You can get the same results by entering cluberti in the search box at the top of this page and select "members" in the drop down right half of the same search box before you click the magnifying glass "search" button. (You not being able to find that does not make your search skills look very good. :) ) Try it and make sure you are able to do such simple searches. Confirm that you are able to come up with the location of his profile page - http://www.msfn.org/...r/311-cluberti/ Hopefully you will be able to find the "Send me a message" link under his avatar.

Cheers and Regards

It looks like SearchIndexer might be responsible for some of this. Does the issue occur if you disable the Windows Search service? Remember, Windows is NOT a real time OS, so behavior like this is not entirely unexpected....
