no, I haven't even heart about this tool. Why Win8 ISO/DVD you use use? The ESD version should not work, you'll a version with an install.wim

Try the WinToolkit, especially after it releases v.1.5. Again, it will require an install.wim.

Could you specify which network components not to remove in vlite to prevent the install from failing?

Hi all,

It depends on what you want to do :

- Win Toolkit : add things to your ISO

- WinReducer 8 : Remove things from your ISO

- vlite : not sure about what it could do for windows 8

Hi dave999,

Can you explain in brief, how you did this to your Windows 8 ISO?

1- Enabled .Net 3.5
2- What components you removed with vLite

I have used Winreducer 8 and removed many things, everything was fine but after installation 'User Customization' doesn't work in my case.

Thanks.
