that will integrate your drivers and you never have to worry about them again (atleast till SO2 comes out)...

If so, try not using that switch and you shouldn't have any troubles using the f6 method toload the MSD's.
Try this and let us know what happens

As for the link I gave you, you probally added multiples of the same line and didn't know it. Misses a quote or didn't replace the ultra.sy_ in i386.
As for F6 issue at hand, i believe i saw somewhere that the F6 somehow gets corrupted or something by an unattended install. But I've never had a problem.
It could be that your Driver disk you're trying use, isn't right. You could go to the maxtor website, download the drivers, and create a new disk.

If it is giving you an error, refer to this link from MS.
Give us any more information that would be helpful. Can you load the drivers using the f6 method on a non-modified WinXP CD, etc...?

The first thing you should do is integrate the drivers, adding them to the i386 folder and updating txtsetup.sif.
If the filename of your updated driver is the same as Windows' you may be ok, so long as its signed.
I have never gotten F6 to work with OEMPreinstall=Y (or Yes, can't remember). I thought I was stuck doing attended installs until I integrated the drivers.
Here's a long winded guide on integrating the drivers from scratch.

Yes, f6 works fine with original cd & with sp1a created with Xpcreate. It is only when the unattended install enters the scene, that f6 becomes a prob. Same unattended cd works fine on other puters without addon cards, but as I said earlier what good is an unattended install if it isn't universal?
This brings up another question. Xpcreate supports some raid driver integration, several which I would like to add after other probs conquerred. However, ref.chm in sp1 deploy tool, says not to add secondary mass storage drivers initially, as u will get error. So am I correct to think that a new cd would be needed for each configuration? This is why I have been trying to get f6 to work.
I would send copies of all my winnt.sif configs, but that would be too vast!! I have tried all(i think) combos of the variables at unattended.msfn.

When you slipstream your controller card drivers the only file you'll need to modify is txtsetup.sif. Do not add any "mass storage" lines to winnt.sif. It won't work.
When you get the drivers successfully slipstreamed you won't need to touch the F6 key at all.
