Hello to you all,

Great to see an international crowd here.

My family is using Win2KSP4, WinXP, Windows 7 and Windows 8 on various machines, having missed out Vista and retired my venerable Windows 95 OSR2.
Despite my bitching about Microsoft, Bill Gates and Windows in general I am a committed user (Its like joining Windows Anonymous!).

I have run a dual boot Linux Win2K system in the past both on Fat 32 and am just recently the owner of a Win8 64-bit machine.
The WinXP and Windows 7 are running fine, but I'm starting to have trouble updating Win 2K and updating Windows 8.

I'll prolly be strung between those two poles for a while, but interested in reading and offering comments in general.
I'll prolly be lurking for a while - run up to Christmas and all that - but I hope to get to know some of you in time.

At some point I'll introduce my wife and son to this forum to let them see where Dad's knowledge arises!
