I purchased Easy Creator version 6 on June 26, 2003 and since Jan 2004 it tries to re-install inself on my harddrive. I have been in contact with Roxio (producers of ver 6) but they contend I am not in thier records for downloaded software. I have gone around w/ customer service and technical support but have not been able to get this file sent. I have spent over 2.5 hours on the phone with them (thier office is in Canada) and am at my wits end.

Ever time I start computer and occasionally when I open explorer the automatic installation starts.

I tried to delete the whole program but when I try the installation starts and a message comes up. "installation in progress. Please wait until installation is complete".

It cannot complete because it cannot find the instalation file ecdc6.msi.

Can anyone help??

well that's basically happening because the msi files get copied to windows directory. when some cleaning programs wipe those. for some reason programs like easy cd creator, office 11 adobe, they want those msi's back. (I had deleted that folder, i had to install office all over again , repair didn't work)

have u uninstalled it b4 installing it again.
uninstall it and search your hdd for any remains of easy cd creator. and install nero
:) if u want to go ahead with easy cd creator after the uninstall put the cd back in and the install should just be fine...

hmm wait u deleted the program, u mean uninstalled it or delete the directory of it? if u deleted it all the registry stuff remains in there..
and roxio adds its drivers to windows dir as well so there are lots of remains of the program on your hdd....
