I have an old Gateway PC that is running Windows 98 (1st ed.) and I cannot install any Service Packs. Keep getting the Error: "The SP1EXPRESS_USA.EXE file is missing export NTDLL.DLL :strstr." Any solutions would be greatly appreciated!

? That's for XP RTM and isn't even the FULL version.

There is NO Official MS Service Pack for ANY Windows 98/98SE/ME. There are, however a number of Unofficial ones listed here in addition to Full Lists of Fixes. Have you looked at this yet?

Sure about that?

Microsoft Windows 98 Service Pack 1 (SP1)

:angel

The file is named WUCSP.EXE but MDGx's link is dead. :(

Pardon my ignorance... :blushing:

That single file is not the complete set. By searching
"WUCSP.EXE" intitle:index.of
you can find in addition the two Win98 Y2K updates as well. The IE/OE are pointless (IMHO) as you would best be served updating a Win98 install to IE5 or (preferably) IE6 or just use Win98-compatible alternate (e.g. Firefox) and ignore/uninstall(?) OE entirely.

(silly me... I have the CD...)

This might interest you and this specifically.
