I have a question regarding driver installations in an unattended XP install - I was thinking of slipstreaming & embedding a few different SATA, RAID & chipset drivers so that when I install on different machines with different hardware configurations the drivers will already be present on the distribution cd. Is this possible or will the drivers not needed by the present install pc cause problems?
For example if I'm installing on a machine with a SATA controller and VIA chipset and I have included drivers for say a Highpoint RAID controller & and nVidia chipset as well on the cd - will this cause a conflict or will the install just ignore those drivers which corresponding hardware isn't present on the machine?
Also if I use the RunOnceEx method and include a VIA chipset driver setup even though the machine has an nVidia chipset will the installation disregard this specific driver because the hardware isn't present & jump to the next app install or will it cause an error and halt the install process?

Installing other drivers wont hurt anything. For example I am including a copy of my drivers path from winnt.sif.
All of that is on one line too fyi.
