I know this can be stopped from running with the system startup, however this thing acts like a **** virus or spyware. (I know it's not.) True, you can use MSConfig or just remove it from the following:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunServices

But I've tracked when this thing runs and everything. It runs with Internet Explorer as well. I noted that this has not been a problem for my pc until today it started with my pc. MS Works 2000 seems to enable it. Why, I know not though I believe this is the culprit. There is also a method to stop it within the IE Tools > Internet Options... Under the Advanced Tab, checking off "Disable script debugging" seems to help.

I will update this post when I find the other registry strings that help stop this application from starting up with Windows and any Windows/MS application.

To stop starting mdm.exe, doesnt you just have to disable it in the services ??
I disabled it in the services and it doesnt automaticly start with windows xp now ... :)

I'm running WinME with no problems (amazingly). Though as I stated in my previous post, it will start with IE and even a few other MS applications.
