platform update - worth updating?

for a ordinary user, what does Platform Update bring ?
I see its mostly tied to graphic components

do these tweak even more of OS responsivnes or this is only for gamers ?

If you unsure you should wait for the final version of this update and install it when Windows Update offers it.

I know, but there is nothing written specific to why is it "good" to upgrade
it only mentions developers that use those graphic components sdk

Are you are a Windows 7 DirectX developer who uses the June 2010 DirectX Software Development Kit (SDK)?
