Hi,

I've just joined this forum today, having been drawn here whilst searching for a Windows 8 start menu program.

Anyway, I notice the frontpage news (and other news pages) have not been updated since Aug 24 2012. Why is this? Is the forum dying?

LOL Personally, I never even go to the Frontpage or look at any of the news articles. Everyone I know who comes here goes straight here to the forums to either look for an answer to a problem or to browse through and see if they might be able to help someone else. The forum has 103,224 current members with 924,464 posts - a tremendous resource of knowledge. I would suggest starting your forum exploration at the forum board main page. - http://www.msfn.org/board/. An alternative link that I personally use as a starting point can be found near the top of that page, the "Today's active content" - http://www.msfn.org/...earch&do=active. At the bottom of that page you can then set the time period you want to see content from, such as the last 24 hours, week, 2 weeks, month, 6 months, or year. As of right now, there have been 24 entries to the forum board in the last 24 hours, 89 in the last week, 330 in the last month, and 3127 in the last year. The forum is definitely not dying.

Welcome to the MSFN!

Cheers and Regards

Thanks for the reply.

To those responsible for the site - If these news pages are not being updated, what's the point of keeping them?
I think it can be quite detrimental to the impression given to new visitors of the site. It gave me a bad impression.

Unfortunately no, I'm not really interested in getting involved in that.
