Who belongs to "Group: Validating"

How did it get "stuck" in a few Member's profiles? I thought this was "fixed" value according to the Board?

Or am I missing something? :unsure:

I haven't looked, but does this happen to be seen in our "Vista Business x86" friends profiles, or whose? Anyone know what is supposed to be happening while you are in that group? What does it take to get "promoted"? You got me curious.

No, it doesn't, but I got a little curious and found several Members that are strangely in that "group" but with a different OS. I've been collecting our Spambot Friends' member-id's for future reference and while searching I stumbled onto this anomaly as well as several others (banned Spammers that still show on the Board). Your Member status is from what Group you're specifically put into (Mod, Supervisor, etc) so I found this to be "odd".

Here's an example (and it ha "ugg" in the member name) -
Group: Validating
Active Posts: 0 (0 per day)
Submitted Links: 0
Joined: 26-December 12 <---STILL VALIDATING???
Profile Views: 0
Last Active: User is online Today, 06:10 PM
Currently: Viewing Forum: Windows 8

Just waiting for the Spam Topic...

Several "Validating" members HAVE BEEN POSTING FOR A WHILE so I deem them "suspicious".

Validating is the user group that a new member enters. After they respond to the invitation email with that hash that is sent, they get moved into the Members group.

Basically, anyone in Validating group hasn't replied to the email yet.

I wouldn't think this should be allowed. If it currently is, that change alone might help the present situation.

I don't know if the member group updates on a delay or what. Can you post an example? The only 2 validating members I see right now aren't in the process of posting.
