windows Server 2008 Foundation Domain connecting a win 8 pro client

Hello and Happy New Year to all,

I have a customer with a Windows 2008 Foundation Server that has been setup(by me) as a Domain controller and wish to connect a new PC with Windows 8 Pro. Currently, only XP client machines are connected. What precautions/options/concerns/setup/issues/articles/preparation steps would be best to take so I do not have any issues. This will be my first Win 8 Pro client machine. Any thing would be helpful and appreciated.
