New spammers Rate Topic: -----

Last night i started with anti-spam measure and some other things. Preparing for upgrade.

You should talk to N1K a.k.a NIM over @ Wincert, don't know what he did but spammers were reduced to nothing

Part of this "anti-spam" measures taken involved deleting spammer accounts. If anyone finds any posts from the past year from a "Guest", make sure to mention them.

I have the same issue in my forum. I manually approve the new accounts now to avoid spammers.

Only if it says it is in the guests group, or has "Guest" as a prefix to their name. Some of the spammers that were removed may have posts that we did not find. So if you find some, you can post the post ID here or PM it to me and we will determine whether or not that post needs to be removed. But it is important if you find these posts from only the past year. If you go back far enough there are older guest posts but I am not concerned with those.

Is this what the outage was yesterday around 18:50 UT?

What's gonna change with the upgrade ( besides spam measures )?
