I know that this service is being used by Server NT, but what about client NT ?

do XP, Vista and 7 use or launch anything related to this service ? (like welcome/logon/oobe screen in XP)
wiki says its IE dependant and I know that XP's welcome/logon/oobe screens are html based (dunno if NT 6 has anything like this)

I see on my win7 its still there in System32

MSHTA.EXE is not a service, or at least it isn't on my PC. It is a program used to open .HTA files, similar to how HH.exe opens .CHM files.
