hey all bit of a hard one here

basically a few years ago my son droped my laptop and cracked the screen. so i have been using it though a tv via hdmi. windows got currupt due to hard fri failure.

my questain is how could i install windows on to this laptop using the hdmi? is this even possible to load a hdmi during the setup process? i have tryed creating a unattened install of xp doesnt seem to work. the graphocs card on the laptop is a ati one. i have also tryed conecting it to a normal monitor but the fn keys dont work without the sony event service installed so it dont work

laptop is about 4 years old but its worth trying to get it working espcially as i just brought a 500GB hdd for it

thanks

paul

That's "strange" normally the Fn keys are mapped "in BIOS" and work "before and outside" the OS.

I do not know why I am getting emails for this topic. It is not my question. Just thought I would alert the forum since the message may not be getting to the person who needs the info.
