It will be some task to determine what is and what isn't classified as abandonware. Good luck then!

I was thinking about doing just the same thing but I have been too lazy and too procrastinating to do anything. Their are tons of downloadable material all over the internet, and that should do it for most games. However programs are another problem, because many of the good utilities that gets the job done are made in privacy, and I am sure any programmers reading this understands that idea. We are left with consumer software. Uploading the software is not a problem,
If you want a list of programs, I can look for that in this week. I don't know about joining, because i really dislike giving information out, especially nowadays.
Specifically I am looking for Painting programs
Also I am looking for MIDI, PCM, and MOD authoring tools. I remember two websites, that had some.
One belonging to two slacker looking Amiga MTV crowd, who used a VHS collection as a background
Another is an openly Non-heterosexual ( Gay/Lesbian ) person who is ( or at least was ) doing alot of midi development. I mean it was like a tribute to MIDI.
Keep in mind alot of programs, out their are also for UNIX, Atari ( whatever it was called ),
