I don't remember doing anything significant but today I turn on computer to see it not starting up as fast as it should. I check the event log and see that my computer is shutting down normally instead of going hibernation (which is what fast startup is). I can't seem to understand why it's not working anymore.

I tried using the "shutdown /hybrid" command and get this instead:

Any reason why this is happening?

Well you usually see this type of prompt with the Server OS. I never tried Hybrid option but it is asking you for a reason for shutdown so it can be logged into Event Viewer.

I found this example online:

shutdown -S -hybrid -F -T ## -C "Your message here"

In place of ## put seconds, example if you put 05 there it would be 5 seconds.

Oh thanks. But I still got a regular shutdown instead...
