with the android xtralogic remote desktop app you control the mouse pointer with the touch screen.
is there a program that you can do this in win 8?
something that can easily be turned on and off in taskbar

There is freeware TouchMousePointer, that controls mouse pointer by touch screen.
Easy switching on/off in taskbar.

I understand.
If disabled all mouse or any pointing device in device manager, mouse pointer is hidden.
If enabled one of mouse or any pointing device in device manager, mouse pointer is shown.

If any HID-mouse device already installed, mouse pointer always showing.
Not need real mouse plugged in.

how do i install a hid mouse device when i dont have a hid mouse device plugged in?
so the program has a mouse pointer

the only way i can get the mouse pointer is by having the mouse plugged in is there a way to fake it with the app so when turned on it recognizes it as a hid mouse device?

Probably plug-in is required at once.
Once it is recognized, I will think that it is unnecessary after that.

It is the same as the 'Mouse Keys' in a standard control panel.
