Hi to all.

What's wrong with my syntax?

Various sideefect windows such as "Copying files..." and "Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1 Setup" and
"Qxxxx Hotfix" are not hidden during the setup. :)

<config>
  <hidewindow>Windows Update</hidewindow>
  <hidewindow>cmd.exe</hidewindow>
  <hidewindow>Copying Files...</hidewindow>
  <hidewindow>Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1 Setup</hidewindow>
  <hidewindow>Windows Messenger 5.0</hidewindow>
  <show total='1' after='0' />
.
.
.
.
.
.
</config>

i think it only hides windows that are open upon startup....

have you tried hide=true in your execution statements?

THANK YOU! :rolleyes:

My excitement on this whole unattended thing againg disrupted my concentration on details, anyway,
It works now, thought not 100%,
two windows still show up
"Copying files.." from Cumulative Patch for Outlook Express 6
and
"Windows Installer" from Windows Messenger 5.0
but
that's life...I'l have to stick with it. :)

Yeah, there is always going to be a few rogue windows - MS isn't too consistent in their way of handling hotfix installation. I'm sure everyone loves 817778.
