I set up a desktop in my house to use as a file server, but what i didnt think about was the windows 98 box i have around here. Well when i try to connect to the file server from it (which is windows 2003 enterprise) it wont give me a prompt for anything other than to connect to the IPC$ share on it. Is there any way i can get around that?

I do not think you can bridge a connection on a computer running Windows 98? Have not tried it with Windows 98.

This is how I get my 98 to connect to my xp machine. I know you are using 2003 server, thought it might work anyway.
Right Click Network Neighborhood>properties>Primary Network Logon section, choose Client for MS Networks. Click OK and restart.
When prompted for network login upon startup, enter a user name and password that is on the server. You need to use an account with a password.
Then try connecting to the 2003 server.
