The params for a french install of office are :

[Language]
lang=French

Tested succesfully on office 2003 Pro...

Office 2003 SP1 is out.

Anybody got a script or a gui like nuhis nLite to slipstream the SP1 into the Office CD? Slipstreaming Office SPs is not that easy like with Windows SPs. The Command Line is much longer and there are 3 command lines at least to update the Office CD Source.

But there are some good tutorials like here to get into it, so dont worry. Would just be interesting if anybody was diligent and code some easy using gui tool for slipstreaming :)

follow the instructions for Office and do it for Frontpage, OneNote, Project, & Visio.

you can use the Office SP1 patch for FrontPage.

some of the installs - Frontpage & Project need to patches. One for the program and the second one for the Web Components (Which is part of the Office SP patch).

How to edit an mst file?
Use the CIW (Custom Installation Wizard) found as part of the ORK.

Hi,

I just downloaded and tried to test it, it started fine, but all of a sudden during the process I got a nice error asking for a file, I even inserted the CD, and still kept asking me...

Please read the entire thread, with attention to all the big (if not the little) details.

It is clearly mentioned, that you need to make an Administrative Install Point of your CD, before using the shrinker.

I'm not that stupid, I did make an administration point, the problem was that the CDROM was I not X so I put cd and it continue ( but it shouldnt have asked ). But then again it finished very fast, and the office2003 dir was 7mb .... Totally lost.

fallout

Topic name change notice:
changed from - "Office 2k3 Shrink(beta) , testers needed"
to - "Office Shrinker"

Reason: Not beta anymore, all tests reported stable

---

English: Just informed that i recreated an Office Shrink Program in Delphi because the thing posted here does not work for me. As my program only works on German versions, I wrote the post in German too.

How to Slipstream Office 2003 with SP1?

I have put togther a simple guide using different sources for help. My reason for doing so was that I found most guides a little complicated and/or lacking in complete info.

PM me for the following guides:
How to Slipstream Office Frontpage 2003 with SP1.txt
How to Slipstream Office OneNote 2003 with SP1.txt
How to Slipstream Office Project Pro 2003 with SP1.txt
How to Slipstream Office Visio 2003 with SP1.txt

@Sanjay: Could you put these things together next time rather than make half a dozen posts.

Since I cannot attach more than one file to one post I had to have seperate posts. Also since everybody does not need instructions for all the CDs there is no point making one really long text file with instructions for all the CDs in that file.

The whole idea of my making these guides is to make them simple and the only way to do that is to keep instructions for all the CDs seperate.

How to Slipstream Office OneNote 2003 with SP1.txt
How to Slipstream Office Project Pro 2003 with SP1.txt

Again......
please read the entire thread properly - the solution to your "excessive shrinking" is right there. Or re-do the shrinking.

What is happening to you (630 MB to 7 MB), is NOT normal.
