hi there
I could only download the 2096 through the express exe. mstest's method of dling the url. anyways. I remember 2055 with this method wasn't integratable to the cd (or i couldn't manage)
how does it go with this version?.
I had integrated 2055(network) with aaron's /integrate method :)

Thanks.
to those lucky sp2 beta guys !! Posted Image

:offtopic:
Man you are an early adopter, I am on the beta and was still running 2055, until tonight. The only reason is that they are shutting down the old 205 V5 update site and going with the new RC1 site. Anyhow don't be jealous.. :)

I've used this site for both build 2055 and 2082 without issue. I haven't tried 2096, but I don't see why it wouldn't work.

no the express package install and network package install is different
the one u gave is for network installs which is easy to integrate.
i was asking for the express pack
but now that its public i don't need it anymore :)

When i try to download from there, i get a (useless) 37.5meg file. Also if i go to the official page and try.
Anyone else get that?

I was able to integrate the SP2 Build 2096 into my Windows XP CD.

I tried to do a clean install and I got a ntfs.sys error and the setup failed.
I have created the cd several times but no luck.
Any Ideas?

Guys, use a download manager. Microsoft's servers are very busy and can cut you off easily.

I can't remember who mentioned a while back during the SP2 betas that removing the cmpnents folder caused Setup to fail, but I've tried this with RC1 and it seems to work fine.

The CD is now down to a reasonable 404MB after removing all the usual un-needed folders.

Did you use goshs method of reduction, or did you simply delete them?

Simply deleted them. Using Reducing size of source should bring it down to a further 20-30 MB. Might give this a go too.
