Wallpaper & Screensaver

I got a wallpaper and a screensaver, that I want as default after installing my (unattended) Windows XP.

I tried ref.chm and search but cannot find out where to place the files, and what files to edit.

Hopefully someone could help.

You could try saving it as BLISS.JPG, and then makecab it (makecab BLISS.JPG) and then copy+paste it into the i386 directory (and replace the bliss.jpg file that is already there).

You could do the same for the screensaver.

Alternatively, you could make your own theme, and specify that in the winnt.sif file.

A quick search should reveal how to do this

first u can rename your wallpaper to bliss.jpg and

using makecab put it on the cd (by replacing the old unwanted one)

and do the same for the screen saver

i'd say would be the easiest way...

Ok when it comes to unattended installs I'm about as green as it gets.

Anyway for some reason at the first logon the default wallpaper is set to "none".

Any ideals. TIA

disoriented and dollars...i think it is because of a reg tweak you use...i notcied that there was some reg tweak that someone posted a huge file on that when included set your wallpaper to none or something like that...check your reg file and go through line by line, cuz I dont remember what it is nor do I think you could find it by searching for "wallpaper" (though you could give it a try)...I went line by line in my reg file and checked every single line just to be sure it worked and to be sure I needed it...I would do this so maybe you could trim down some things you are doing especially if youre never gonna use it...ie the broadband tweak is nice to have, but what if youll always own a modem, no real reason for that tweak...(see what Im saying?)

Yea I went through my reg I don't see anything, if you or anyone has a few minutes could you read through and see if you see anything that would stop a visual theme from showing on first boot.

I'm fairly certain this should work...if you use it at T-13 or T-12 where Current User gets set as the Default User:
