Hi, I lost all my High-priority updates that were installed after 10-13-13

Yesterday I has to do a system restore, I went back to 10-27-13.

I looked today and saw I lost all those High-priority updates on 10-18-13 and 10-19-13

I believe there were around 10 each on these two days. I have my computer set to download automatically.

All other priority updates are fine.

I did check for High-priority updates using the Windows Update checking for High-priority updates.

There were none. I looked in add & remove programs, nothing there either after 10-13-13

Once High-priority updates that are installed, then are missing, should checking for High-priority updates express find them again.

how can I get those High-priority updates installed again. XP

I checked my other xp machine and the updates missing here are all still on the other computer.

When I go to custom install, on the left under xp there are 12 I clicked on it and got old software updates but no high priority updates were shown "These updates must be installed separately

Updates listed here can have system-wide effects or address more than one problem. It's a good idea to install them now and then check again, starting from the Home page, for remaining updates.

Microsoft Windows XP

High-priority updatesNo high-priority updates for Windows XP are available

These are what I am missing:

When did you install .NET Framework 3.5? Is it still there (check if it is listed in the Add/Remove Programs tab)?

I always love Windows XP!

Are you sure that this is the right date? Anyway it seems that you have to reinstall .NET Framework 3.5.

Yes, I am sure about the date of the SR. I'll see what updates come through Tuesday. If I don't get the .NET Framework 3.5 update I'll install it from MS site...

Thank You....

UGH!!! You may have to you the/a Net Framework Cleaner. I recently upgraded my CPU to a dual-core and Repair Installed and it REALLY horked up. Apparently, the Installers "see" not only REG files but also contents of the Net folders. You may want to check that.

Google for "dotnetfx_cleanup_tool.zip". It's legit and has a "selective clean"...

edit - see this -

BTW, it now goes up to dotNetv4.0 (AFAIKR).
