The original purpose is to shut the computer down without looking at the display
For windows 9X-XP, I would usually press "Windows key" then "up", then "Enter"
For windows Vista I would have press "Windows Key" then "left", "left", "left" till I reach the button to press "Enter".
What is funny is that Windows is made for a blind person, in this sense, that by memory, you can shutdown, or access a program.
Another thing I want to mention is that, Windows NT 6.0 and up, seems to change the screen capture, not only that, later OSes seems to never want me to save the pictures from a website, like if the browser considers the images property of the website. I mean that is bogus, right their. To make things worst the Screen capture sometimes disable when I load a DVD. I mean come on, now.
So I was just wondering how many people ever practice, removing items from the computer, without looking as well. I mean the computer guy, agent, or whatever, might fake it sometimes, and pretend to not be able to remove an object.
