They can't support it forever but they could have fixed the problems which make people hate the newer releases. They never did. Microsoft really screwed up their whole company with Ballmer in charge. I try to remember the good old days when there were no crappy products from Redmond and an upgrade was really an upgrade in all respects. I don't like the crappy new Windows today, neither do I like the modern Office. I don't love any of those Metro-infected products.
