i'm looking for a way to install avast without chrome and the toolbar, and preferabele a way to customize what gets installed.

for now i discoverd that running avast_free_setup.exe creates a folder in temp, where instup.exe get executed with the following arguments: "instup.exe /sfx /sfxstorage:"D:\Temp\avastinst\" /edition:1 /prod:ais"

Anyone who knows more switches to configure the install?

Avast is probably still in customized Inno Setup installer. Try experimenting with recording the install with the appropriate parameters shown in the Inno Setup help documentation.

Nope, they dont work :( For now, the only switch I have discovered is the silent switch of the main installer (avast_free_setup.exe): /SILENT.

Regards.

At last I figured it out: First delete the file AswOffertool.exe & any other googletoolbar, etc. files, and then try to execute instup.exe with following arguments: /sfx /sfxstorage="{directory where the setupfiles are stored}" /edition:1 /prod:ais /silent

It works :).

Cheers And Regards.

Hi. This works for me with avast pro 2014 (see here: https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB18)

avast_pro_antivirus_setup.exe /verysilent /noreboot /nosounds /instlang fr-FR

Then, for license file integration:

c:\Program Files\AVAST Software\Avast\aswChLic.exe "avast! license file.avastlic"

But I still have to click once to activate the license file.

If I could copy my "avast! license file.avastlic" to

c:\ProgramData\AVAST Software\Avast\license.avastlic

in my script then the all procedure would be automated.

Corto
