xmf
A right-click->properties through explorer yields two tabs only: general, and sharing. I checked entries in regedit and gpedit and settings restricting the folder from being moved are not selected. Also, when I displayed the My Doc folder on the desktop, a right-click-->properties yielded "The properties for this item are not availabe" Edited May 6, 2014 by xmf

xmf
Try re-registering mydocs.dll.regsvr32 %SystemRoot%\system32\mydocs.dllPut the above into a command prompt window or the run box and press enter.Thank you - worked perfectly. I wonder what caused this issue.
Guest
You're welcome.Could be due to a registry cleaner removing the entries needed for My Documents to function properly. Re-registering that file adds them back.
xmf
Seems likely as I used to use CCleaner on the registry. Guest
CCleaner's registry cleaner is very tame so I doubt that it caused it.
bphlpt
I have used CCleaner for years and have never experienced any problems like what happened to xmf. Cheers and Regards
HarryTri
CCleaner is really tame, I can say it too (I was using Advanced SystemCare before, more aggressive but with no problems too - relevant to its cleaning work at least).
