Theming under XP without WindowBlind and ObjectBar?

2 posts in this topic

If you want to have themes under xp, you should use windowblind and objectbar.

But I want to use theme under xp, but I don't want to use that 2 tools.

Is there way to theme under XP without that 2 tools?

Most themes you'll find on the internet will require you to have a patched UXTHEME.DLL file installed that allows for non-Microsoft themes.

The themes I'm most familiar with are included as addons for nLite/RVMi. I've packaged a few themes from Microsoft that don't need the patched UXTHEME.DLL. You can use the smart installer on a running XP system. Others are available that require the patch, but you'll have to follow the links in an addon release post to find them.

I'm sure still more can be found with Google, but I've stopped looking for themes a long time ago.
