beardo
Hi, I was using thesycon.de's Latency Checker with 1,000 us, then learned this tool was incompatible with Win 8 and found the xperf solution later on. I'm uploading my etl file here & wanna see if anyone can check what's my level of DPC latency ? Or how to reduce it furtheer ? https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=31298F6AADD51C61!12762&authkey=!AOexgnXWCc61t5M&ithint=file%2ctxt Thanks
NoelC
Yes, DPC Latency Checker's usefulness is limited with Windows 8. What problem are you seeing? Audio dropouts / video stuttering? There are members on this forum who are adept at reading performance reports. I suggest the advice for gathering data will be very similar to that given in this thread: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/158252-trace-why-windows-8-boots-shutsdown-or-hibernates-slowly/ -Noel
beardo
So far seems no Audio dropouts when i connect my previous DAC to my computer, but just wondering if lower DPC could produce a better sound quality ? Will read your link further, thanks
MagicAndre1981
till 512µs it is still ok. Values over 1024 are bad and cause drops.
